Seminole County Government has earned the “Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award” for 2009 sponsored by the National Purchasing Institute (NPI).  This award is designed to recognize organizational excellence and achievement in procurement.  The annual award is earned by those organizations, public or non-profit, that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria, which measures innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement function.  Seminole County Government is one of only 34 Counties in the U.S. that have received this prestigious award. 

Seminole County Government recently received reaccreditation status by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) which represents the highest standards of quality and efficiency in Governmental procurement operations and the 2009 Award for Excellence in Public Procurement from the Florida Asssociation of Public Purchasing Officers (FAPPO).
