|
Seminole County Office of Emergency Management it monitoring the status of Tropical Storm Ida. The forecast for strength and direction continues to shift. Emergency managers are preparing in the event Florida gets hit. The 2008 hurricane season was one of the most damaging seasons in Seminole County history. The record breaking floods from Tropical Storm Fay forced many people out of their homes. While most have been able to return home, there are many others that are making repairs and cleaning up after the devastating floods. The Seminole County Office of Emergency Management encourages all persons to prepare for this system by staying informed. Families should check emergency disaster plans, find the closest shelter to your home, register for special needs (elderly and disabled), and check disaster supply kits.
