The Animal Control Board is a seven (7) member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Animal Control Board consists of a licensed veterinarian, a representative of the Sheriff’s Office and five county citizens at large.
What Does The Board Do?
The Animal Control Board has three functions:
Hear dangerous dog public hearings in accordance with law
Hear appeals associated with the issuance or denial of a license or permit
Make recommendations to the Director of Public Safety regarding animal care and regulations consistent with law
