The
face of the fire service is continuing to change everyday.
Population booms, natural disasters and the possibility of
terrorist incidents require planning to assure resources remain
efficiently prepared. These factors combined new tactics in fire
suppression and emergency medical response makes it imperative
that every fire department plan for the future.
Seminole County Fire Department Planning is
responsible for the future of the department. Primary
responsibilities include Fire/EMS station location, statistical
evaluation, technological advances, emergency medical
services,
firefighter wellness, and various aspects of both long and short
range planning for the division. The section works closely with
the other two divisions of the fire department, operations and
administration.
The office is open Monday through Friday during
business hours 8:00 am to
5:00 pm, (closed holidays).
