Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Sanford, FL, October 15, 2009 - On October 13, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Resolution proclaiming the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, urging citizens to recognize and support efforts to bring an end to the problem within our community. Seminole County remains dedicated to increasing public awareness and understanding of domestic violence, teen dating violence, and healthy relationship campaigns and expert materials that provide essential guidance to the community. Seminole County has the benefit of collaborating with service providers, including SafeHouse of Seminole and Kids House of Seminole, who serve thousands of victims and children each year.
