Tips:
How
do I set my screen display? This
application is best viewed with Internet Explorer
and the
Screen Display set to 800x600 or 1024x768 pixels.


The top left button changes
your legend based on what
is currently check visible.

Drawing layers and Refreshing the Map
As you zoom in on the map, more layers will become
available for viewing and identifying.
Look in the right frame for available layers. This frame is known as the "Table of Contents".

To turn a layer on or
off click the “visible” box then click “Refresh Map” button

Redraw the Display
To make a layer “active” click on the “active” button (an “Active” layer
is the only one you can use to “identify”, “find” or “query”)
Activate the Locate Address
Tool
by clicking it.
Choose Streets or Address and
click “Select Layer” button.
Type an address in the form below the map
and click the Locate button.
Enter a valid address and zip
code. The zip code should only be 5 digits. You can choose not to use a zip
code if it is unknown. The more information entered, the more accurate your
results will be.
Once you have entered the
correct information, click the Locate Button to find the address.
Some cases will result in more than one address returned. In this case, the
program found more than one possible match. You are able to select the one you
want by clicking the address.

Measure Use to get a measurement from one point on the map

Set Units Use to set the measuring units you want to obtain
(feet, meters, miles, kilometers) |

Pan Allows you to click on the map and drag the map in
the direction you want to go |

Buffer Use to select features at a predetermined distance from
another feature. An example would be to select all parcels or addresses
within 500 feet of a school or fire station. The selected data can then be
copied and pasted into an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis or to
generate a mailing list |

Select by Rectangle Use to select features within a rectangle that you
draw on the map |

Zoom South |

Select by line/polygon Use to select features by a line or area that you
draw on the map |

Zoom West |

Clear selection to begin new task |

Use to print a map. A form will load in the bottom
frame allowing you to specify a title. Enter a title and click Create Print
Page. This will open another browser window with the map, title, and legend
that can be printed from your browser |

Locate Address |

Extract Downloads the files in your map to your local
computer |
