Exotic Species Management

Land Managers in the state of Florida are now faced with the enormous task of preventing and controlling the invasion of our native habitats by exotic plants and animals. Exotic species have become a major problem over the past decade in Florida, leading to localized extinction of some native species and the serious degradation of native habitats. In Seminole County, the primary concern is exotic plants, but there are some exotic animals that are receiving attention and being monitored closely.
