Who can use the Homebound Mail Service
and what materials will be mailed?
Homebound Mail Service is available to anyone
who lives in Seminole County and has completed
a Homebound
Mail Service application. Cataloged print
materials and audio books may be borrowed. The
library reserves the right to determine if a book
is ineligible for sending through the mail –
e.g. coffee table books, reference books, in-library
use only, and Interlibrary
Loan books borrowed from other libraries.
How can I request Homebound Mail delivery
to my home?
Call your local branch to request materials be
mailed to your home.
How long may I keep materials mailed to
my home?
Homebound Mail Service materials are checked
out for three weeks including processing and delivery
time. These may be renewed if there are no holds
waiting.
How do I return Homebound Mail Service
materials?
The return of books and materials is the responsibility
of the patron. Returned postage will be provided.
How do I pay for fines and can I still
use the service if I have fines?
Collection of fines for overdue books will be
accepted at any Seminole County Public Library
System Branch. Fine money will not be accepted
through the US Mail. Homebound Mail Service borrowing
privileges will be suspended if a patron’s
account balance is $25.00 or more, in fines, fees
or lost materials. |
