This will be accomplished by promoting cutting edge activities and creating a streamlined workforce that is cross trained in multiple disciplines. It is the intent of the department to be fair and balanced to the community and provide equal accessibility for all customers.

Seminole Way
What is SeminoleWAY? SeminoleWAY is a strategic economic development initiative focused on attracting high-value jobs and businesses to Seminole County. The SeminoleWAY district is associated with the State Road 417 Corridor, that spans the length of the County. SeminoleWAY is a forward looking plan that involves a targeted approach to economic development in partnership with the cities of Sanford, Winter Springs, and Oviedo.

How Shall We Grow?

Between March 2006 and August 2007, nearly 20,000 Central Florida residents answered the question “How Shall We Grow?” The result is the Central Florida Regional Growth Vision.

Commuter Rail Train
Central Florida Commuter Rail (SunRail)
The 31-mile Phase 1 segment will serve 12 stations, linking DeBary to Orlando. Phase II would serve 5 additional stations, north to DeBary and south to Poinciana. Service is expected to begin in 2010 - just as FDOT starts a major I-4 reconstruction project through the heart of Central Florida.
