The County Engineers Office is a division of the Public Works Department that provides professional engineering support to the Board of County Commissioners and other County Departments. The primary responsibility of the Engineering Division is the implementation of the Capital Improvement Program for Seminole County infrastructure (Highway, Drainage, Sidewalk, Trails, Pedestrian Bridges and Tunnels). Furthermore, the Engineering Division provides customer services/support in the areas of Right-Of-Way research, utility and miscellaneous facility permitting (any work that will be done in areas where the county has jurisdiction) and surveying (plat review/approval, maintenance/records of vertical and horizontal surveying controls).
