PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY

A precautionary boil water advisory was issued Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 12:30 a.m. due to a fire hydrant repair in the distribution system. The fire hydrant was repaired, the system was flushed, and we have commenced taking bacteriological samples as a precautionary measure. (9 service connections were affected).

"Precautionary Boil Water Advisory" tags were placed on the residents so as to inform the customers of this situation and to provide contact information. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used. This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
