July 4 Collection

There will be NO curbside collection on Thursday, July 4, 2024 and NO make-up collection. 

Your garbage will be collected on your next regularly scheduled collection day. If you have a Monday/Thursday collection, your next collection will be Monday, July 8. If you have a Tuesday/Friday collection, there will be no interruption to your service. 

Customer Service will be closed on July 4 and will resume normal business on Friday, July 5.

The Central Transfer Station and the Seminole County Landfill will be OPEN on July 4. The Household Hazardous waste tunnel will be closed. 

Holiday Schedule

If your scheduled garbage, yard waste or recycling collection day falls on a holiday listed below, your collection will be on the next regularly scheduled collection day.

  • New Year's Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Unincorporated Seminole County residents participate in a tax/assessment district, Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU), that provides funding for the management of residential solid waste.
