What are the adoption fees?
Dog Adoption: includes microchip, vaccines, feline leukemia testing and sterilization.
Dog (requiring sterilization or already sterilized by Animal Services, male or female).............$80.00
Dog (already has sterilization done prior to arrival to Animal Services, male or female)..........$20.00
Pet Pal Program: Seminole County residents who are 65 or older, disabled, or active/retired military, may adopt any available dog or cat for $5.00.
Proof of Seminole County residency is required and one pet adoption limit per household. Limited funding, come now!
Animal Services accepts cash, personal check, or major credit card.
Are all of the dogs required to be spayed or neutered?
In accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 823.15, all dogs and cats adopted through a public shelter or rescue organization must be sterilized.
What if the pet I am interested in isn't already spayed or neutered?
The pet, prior to going into the adoption area, will be spayed or neutered by the County's on staff veterinarian at Seminole County Aniamal Services.
What if the pet I want to adopt is already spayed or neutered?
Normally, you can take the pet home the same day.
