The Animal Control Board consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners & Animal Services Administrator. The Animal Control Board will consist of a representative from an Animal Rescue Organization, a representative of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Range and Water Division, and five county citizens at large. Each member or the Animal Control Board will serve for a two (2) year term.
The main function of the Animal Control Board is to make recommendatons to the Chief Administrator of Emergency Management regarding animal care and regulations consistent with Florida Statutes and Chapter 20, Seminole County Code.
The Animal Control Board shall meet a least three (3) times per year, at the following location:
